Returns Policy

  • We are happy to accept returns purchased from Fermare within 14 days from the customer’s delivery received date, for a full refund of the item’s value or for an equivalent exchange. Returned items must be received back to our studio within 14 days of you receiving it.
  • Custom orders that are made to your measurements unfortunately cannot be returned or refunded.
  • A return can be made by contacting us through email, or private messaging us directly on Instagram, Whatsapp, or Facebook.
  • The cost of return shipping will however have to be made by the customer. PostNet to PostNet is used for returns and costs R109. The return details will be given when you request a refund.
  • The reason why returns shipping is not free is to discourage customers from ordering an item solely to try it on and then return it for free. This particular customer habit is common with many fast fashion ecommerce platforms, that offer free return shipping, and results in large amounts of waste. Customers aren’t often aware that their returned goods are often not resold, but instead may be destroyed, thrown out, sold as discounted (worn) items, sold in bulk to other countries, etc. As a slow fashion company focused on sustainability, we encourage customers to be mindful of all the waste and damage fast fashion practices can have on the environment, and to limit ones individual impact. 
  • If you opt for an exchange of an item, an additional fee of R100 will be required (regardless of if you had previously received free shipping or not), payable by the customer for the couriering of the replacement item.
  • Alternatively, those residing in Cape Town are welcome to return your purchase to our studio, in Woodstock, or to one of our market stores.
  • Returned merchandise must be in their original new and unused condition with the tag(s) attached in order to be accepted. Please make sure the item(s) are adequately packaged before couriering.
  • The provision of goods and services is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability of a product, a full refund can be made.
