How do I choose my garment size?
Take your measurements for the Bust, Waist and Hip, and compare these against the garment’s Size Chart. Size charts can be found in the Size Chart tab when you have clicked on an item you like. It is important to note that various items have unique size charts specific to that item – so please make sure to reference your particular item’s Size Chart when determining your correct fit size. Returns are discouraged as this adds to the environmental impact of an individual garment – so please make sure you are happy with your size prior to purchasing.
If you are unsure of your size or would like guidance as to which size would fit you best, it is highly recommended to send us an email or message us through Instagram, Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger. It is our passion to provide the best service possible, and helping with garment fit is only our pleasure to do.
How do I decide my garment size for a bias-cut Designer slip/dress?
Deciding on your perfect garment size for a bias-cut dress may seem daunting, but it is quite simple. Firstly, you should try and match your size measurements closely to the item’s Size Chart. The most important measurement to match is the Bust measurement. Bias-cut garments have stretch in the garment which will accommodate slight variance in the hip and waist area for undersized garments. The bust area however is designed with little stretch, in order to create that beautiful clean & structured look.
The Bust Size Chart measurement is shown in a measurement range, eg. size 34 bust has a sizing of 86cm – 89cm. If your Bust measurement is at the lower limit of 86cm, this will give a relaxed fit with a bit of breathing room for this size 34 garment. Alternatively, if you are at the upper limit of 89cm, this will result in a close tight fit. The best fitting garment will be where your measurement lies in the middle of the Bust size range, ie. 87cm or 88cm for the size 34 garment. Garment sizes are True to Fit, and so it is not recommended to go above the upper limit, ie. if your Bust measurement is above 89cm, it is not recommended to select a size 34 garment.
Size Bust (cm)
32 81-84
34 86-89
What happens if you fall between sizes?
Example: if your measurement is 85cm (1cm below the lower limit of 86cm for a size 34 garment), the two options you have are size 32 and size 34. In this case, since the measurement falls between sizes and is larger than the size 32 upper limit, you should choose the larger of the two sizes, which in this case is size 34. This will result in a more loose fitting dress – however if you prefer a fitted dress, it is recommended to request a custom size. This is available for Made to Order items, and can be requested in the Notes section (simply type your measurements and request for loosening or tightening of the garment) when making your purchase, or through direct email or messaging on Whatsapp or Instagram. This option will allow you to tighten or loosen the garment by 1cm, or 2cm – and this will be applied equally throughout the Bust, Waist and Hip measurements.
What is Made to Order?
If you see a Made To Order size option on the product page, this means that that particular size is not stock standard – and so will have to be made to order, ie. you purchase as you would normally do, but what differs is that your garment will be made in your selected size only after you make the purchase. A “Made To Order” garment will add an additional 1 to 5 days onto normal delivery times, depending on the complexity of the garment and the amount of work that is already in the production line.
Do you ship globally?
No, shipping and delivery is available for South Africa only.
How can I track my order?
Yes, we will send you a confirmation email with your tracking information as soon as your order ships.
When will my order ship?
We ship Monday through Friday excluding public holidays. We aim to ship orders on the next business day. Please be aware that any orders placed on Fridays will ship the following Monday.
What is your return policy?
We are happy to accept returns purchased from us within 14 days from the delivery date for a full refund of the item’s value or for an equivalent exchange. The return must arrive back to our studio 14 days from the date the item was received by the customer. Returns are generally discouraged as this adds to the environmental impact of an individual garment – so please make sure you are happy with your choice prior to purchasing.
Refunds and returns on custom made items, made to your measurements, are not possible.
Returns can be made by contacting us through email, or private messaging us directly through Facebook or Instagram.
The cost for courier of returns will however have to be made by the customer. This can be done through PostNet to PostNet. For more info, read our Returns Policy. If you opt for an exchange of an item, an additional fee of R60 will be required (regardless of if you had or had not previously received free shipping), payable by the customer for the couriering of the replacement item.
Returned merchandise must be in their original condition with the security tag attached in order to be accepted. It is the responsibility of the customer to make sure the items are re-packaged adequately before couriering.
If you reside in Cape Town, you are welcome to return your purchase in person at our studio or market store.
When will I receive my refund?
Returns will be processed and refunded back to the original method of payment, or a specified bank account, within 31 days.
Will I be refunded the original cost of shipping if shipping was not free?
No, you will only be refunded the full transaction amount of the garment. Courier costs are consumable costs, ie. the R100 shipping fee is used up when shipping to you and so does not form part of any refund.
I have another question not listed. How can I reach you?
